S-0-S: Survivors of Stormreach A Tabletop Style D&D Guild
Mission Statement
The mission of this guild is to:
- Play in a style where we "self impose restrictions and penalties" to foster a tactical and strategic overlay to game-play fostering patience, teamwork and economy.
- The motive for our rules is to foster people to "play as a team" and to emulate tabletop experiences.
Game Play
- Enrollment - We prefer you join during the Korthos experience or with a Veteran. Some players who the guild leadership is familiar may be admitted as an exception.
- Free to Play and Premium are welcomed.
- Spoilers are discouraged.
- Shrines may only be used in the following circumstances: (modified by unanimous vote of Van, Omae and KG 8/14/12)
a) Once on Elite Quests - whole group uses or loses
b) To resurrect the fallen (does not count against rule A
c) Once in Raids at any setting
d) Wilderness areas - Immediately prior to quest entry.
[/li][li]Avoid the Three P's (Power grouping, Piking, Piling on)
[/li][li]No Twinking (Defined below)
[/li][li]Self impose some type of death penalty (defined below)
[/li][li]Mild Role Play is encouraged.
[/li][li]We prefer that you "not PUG" and ask that you run with Guildies if they are on and you have an appropriate character. You "may" PUG as a recruitment device.
[/li][li]Personal Rules - You may impose tighter restrictions ON YOURSELF or a STATIC GROUP than our rules require.

Death Penalties - Death Should Sting and we ask that you self-impose these penalties

- You may use the resurrection shrine in this instance "if" your soul stone was secured.
- Reduce one point of CON and note in BIO - when you reach 0 you retire.

- Delete one point of CON and note in BIO - when you reach 0 you retire
- Group Recalls from quest in the event of a group wipe
Other Scenarios - Resurrection Possible
- Any resurrection that is not the Cleric Spell True Resurrection mandates a loss of one CON point.
What Happens if my CON gets to 0?
- You may leave the guild or you may stay in the guild but you are a "Dead Head"
- Dead Heads may not run with those who are alive
- Dead Heads follow the no twinking rules of the guild.
- At Reincarnation you may again run with the living.
Final thoughts:
- If you find our rules too permissive or too restrictive, there are other guilds out there with rules which may be more suited to your tastes.
- Many in our guild "choose" to play by Stricter Rules. You are encouraged to play in a manner that you enjoy with the guild rules as your basis.
- We agree that these rules facilitate game enjoyment for our members and are not a statement that we are better or worse players than others.
